CANNON, ARCENAUX, CROSSEN/CROSSAN & SLAUGHTER/SLOTTER/SLATER & LITTLE, WEBER, CASTILLO, LIGHTENER, BULNEZ FAMILIES

of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and surrounding parishes

This CANNON family and related lines are not my direct relatives, but I often receive requests for information from their descendants, so I am posting this in order to make available what information I do have on these lines, which isn't much. Be sure to check out the LSU archives where Andrew Cannon's letters are kept. The link is: http://www.lib.lsu.edu/sites/default/files/sc/findaid/4979.pdf

This Cannon line preceded mine to the area and was well-established by the time Martin Ansil CANNON, Sr. and his brother John (my ancestors) arrived in Ascension Parish, Louisiana.  It is unknown if these two Cannon families were related in Ireland.  I do know other folks researching these Cannon/Arcenaux/Slotter/Crosson, etc.,… lines, however, and will be happy to connect genealogy researchers up with these gracious people.
