·         Ufo sightings in your town

·         A Missing person case

·         An unsolved homicide  

·         The history of a monument, place, or building you have noticed

·         A mystery in your family

·         Why the house down the street is vacant or was burned down or bull-dozed

·         Try to find the truth about a rumor you have heard amongst family members or friends

·         Find out where your ancestors were before they were in the USA and why they came here

·         The history of an artifact or family heirloom

·         Why someone committed suicide

·         Why something is the way it is

·         The meaning of a group of symbols or a symbol you see somewhere (cemetery, graffiti, etc.,…)

·         The history of an intriguing superstition or group of them held by someone you know

·         The reason someone you know does certain rituals before some event

·         How a local place got its name or reputation

·         What some local secret society does to benefit society

·         What is the philosophy of someone unusual whom you know—IE, WHAT MAKES MY STRANGE FRIEND TICK?

·        VISIT A PLACE YOU HAVE NEVER ENTERED before and INVESTIGATE WHAT GOES ON THERE—a synagogue, another college, an ethnic supermarket, a place where your language is not spoken, a festival, a Buddhist temple, a church, a Friend’s meeting, etc.,…do background research and interview the administrator of the place.

·        Design a survey/questionnaire/research experiment to ascertain new knowledge about some topic important to the people around you, here, the college or elsewhere (survey population size =25+)
